GERMAN COURSE - regional & cultural studies - for new exchange students
You just arrived in Germany to study at Viadrina. You already have some experience with the German language and some knowledge about Germany and want to learn more? Here you can take your first steps inside and outside of the classroom in a place where the language and the culture you learned about is part of everyday life. You will get some „survival vocabulary“ and will not only learn to communicate with the Germans, but also about life, culture, history and politics in the city, the region and of course also the nearby and so fascinating capital Berlin and other interesting places in the country.

Hello Germany! In this seven-day introduction we will take you on a journey – not only for the first steps of learning German to guide you through every day life, but we will also get to know the new University, explore Frankfurt (Oder) and the region that is full of beautiful nature and traditions, the nearby capital Berlin and other places worth seeing while in Germany. On the way we will discover more about culture, history and today’s life in Germany. We will not only sit in class, but move around in Frankfurt and will take part in interactive activities and challenges to test our knowledge!
